Still Catching Up: Nurses Week

Yes, that's how far behind I am! National Nurses Week: May 6th to 12th :) Although I work in the healthcare industry we don't have very many nurses at our facility, so for nurses week, we kind of dropped the ball and celebrated a week later! LOL Anyway,  I was "volun-told" to make Nurses Day cards. Of course I was happy to, I have a great appreciation for all the hard work that nurses do. So many of my family members are nurses and I'm SO thankful for them! They never cease to amaze me!

We have a total of 4 nurses at our facility, I made each of them a card for the staff to sign. If you notice, all the cards are the same, but all different at the same time! :)

Also, if you like any of the patterned paper that I used, they are only available while supplies last on my online store. We'll be making room for the new Designer Series Paper packs that are going to be released on July 1st! Click here to visit my online store :)

Thanks!!

Catching Up

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted any pictures of the cards/projects that I've made recently. Life has been pretty hectic, but I'm hoping to get a start on building up my inventory or cards and other items. I'm super excited that Stampin' Up! will be releasing their new catalog last month, but it also means that I need to use up my Designer Series Paper that will be retiring at the end of the month! :)

Here are some cards that I made from Mother's Day (Yes, that how far behind I am! Don't worry, I gave it to them on time!) I have fallen in love with the color Rose Red, so you'll be seeing it in a lot of upcoming cards :) I used the Mother of Mine stamp, Sweet Summer (Sale-A-Bration set), and a hostess set from the Occasions Mini called Something to Celebrate. ENJOY! :)

Administrative Professionals Week

Good Evening Everyone! :)

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. So many things have happened since then! I've been doing a lot of wedding planing :) and I had my VERY first Stampin' Up! workshop. I was so exciting, I can't wait to have another one. Also, I am going to be starting a "craft club" of some sort where once a month or so people can come over and make projects that I would prepare. It would be $15 for materials or you can recieve the materials for FREE if you place a minimum order of $20 :) Please let me know if you're interested, we can even take turns "hosting" so that we all get a chance to recieve hostess benefits! :)

Other Stampin' Up! news, the Occasions Mini catalog is officially over, but the new Summer Mini catalog is out! Check it out on my website along with the promotions for National Scrapbooking Month! Stampin' Up! has some awesome stamp sets 30% off. Check it out here: www.regalcrafts.stampinup.net

LAST week was Administrative Professionals Week. I truly believe that the organizations we work for would crumble without all the administrative support that is provided. At the place where I work, we have an AMAZING admin, without her, I don't even know how we would function! I made her a little card and a post-it holder that also has a holder for a mini pen. Thanks to all the Administrative Professionals out there for all that you do!!

THIS week is  Nurse's Weeks, I still need to make something for that... Not really sure what to make yet though. Whatever it is, I better hurry before it's over!

Have a good night!

1am Birthday Card

Good "Morning" Everyone!

I'm SO sleepy but I really wanted to post this before I forget again. I made this birthday card for my Aunt last week. I couldn't figure out what to make so it was taking me forever to put together a card. I finally put a card together around 1am! Needless to say, I was a little sleepy, so don't look to closely because I don't think anything I put on this card is straight! lol I think I'll try this same layout again, but this time when I'm not so tired.
I used Whisper White for the card and ribbon. The card base is Pear Pizzaza. The top strip is Elegant Eggplant cardstock, and the one that runs perpendicular to it is from the DSP Lap of Luzury. The stamp is from the set called Engraved Greetings.
I'm so excited for my first workshop this Saturday. My upline will be doing a demonstration and a quick card. Then I'm going to take over with my own card. I'm so excited that I already got all my stuff prepped for my card :)

Anyway, tomorrow is going to be a busy day, so I better get some rest. Good night everyone! :)

Bright Colors

Good Evening Everyone!

On Friday I mailed out a card for my fiance's mom's birthday (her birthday was yesterday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!). I had the hardest time making this card, though! I was on the phone with my fiance trying to get his input on what to make, but he fell asleep!!! All I got form him was that his mom likes bright colors. So I figured hot pink was safe! haha :) Here is the card I made for her:

I designed this card around the color Melon Mambo :) I LOVE this color!
This whole card is made from Stampin' Up! products, that's why everything coordinates. I used Whisper White for the card, it's a regular A2 size card. For the base I used paper from the Designer Series Ice Cream Parlor, I used Melon Mambo cardstock for the next level, then Whisper White again for the center piece. I used a stamp from the Valentine Defined stamp set on the Whisper White then sponged on some Pear Pizzazz ink on the bottom. Finally, I used the wish big stamp from the Short & Sweet stamp set, and some embossing powder and my heat gun to make it shine :)

If you haven't already done so, please leave a comment, become a follower, and RSVP for my FIRST workshop on April 23. Please check my Stampin' Up! website for more information :) regalcrafts.stampinup.net

I hope you all enjoyed the card!

Have a good night! :)

I'm SO excited, I confirmed the date for my very first workshop as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! Space is limited so let me know as soon as you can. regalcrafts.stampinup.net

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Oh, and here is a picture of a couple of the envelope bags I made last week :)

This would size envelope would be great for gift cards!

Great Weekend :)

What a great weekend! It all stared after work on Friday. I went straight to Big Shot club, hosted by my upline from Stampin' Up! we made some REALLY cute things with the new petal cone die (Click here to order). I love Big Shot club, because you get to make more than cards, you can make SO many other paper crafts and embellishments! Saturday I went to my VERY FIRST demonstrator meeting. We made some really cute bags made out of envelopes and a birthday card. We also did a card swap, demonstrations, and the learned about new promotions at Stampin' Up! (oh and, the clearance rack was just updated!!!!).

Sunday was SO busy and so fun! BBQ and crafting?! It was GREAT! I really loved how the envelope bags were so quick and simple. So, I brought all the material that I would need to the bbq so that everyone could make one. I think it went really well and everyone made such cute bags! After a little cleaning, the crafting was continued at my house with my sister and her best friend. My weekend started and ended with crafting and was filled with lots of friends and laughter :) It was great! Now, if only I could have a day to recuperate! lol

OH! In case you have noticed, my Stampin' Up! website is now up and running. I would LOVE to be your demonstrator. Please feel free to contact me for more information. Also, if you want to receive the "Preferred Price" on the Stampin' Up! website, just select me as your demonstrator and you will qualify to receive that discounted price:) Thanks for your continued support everyone!!!

I made little Thank You boxes for everyone that came to the BBQ :) This was before I put the candy in them, I had lots of fun trying to build things with boxes :)

I didn't use Stampin' Up! paper (eek!) because I didn't have enough to make them all, but I did use one of So Many Thanks stamp from Stampin' Up! It's one of my new favorites :)

YAY!!! They're all filled with candy!

Last but not least, my uncle had surgery today and I made him this card to let him know that we're thinking of him and keeping him in our prayers. I used the Lap of Luxury Designer Series Paper, Trendy Trees stamp set, and Concord Crush cardstock.
Have a great week everyone!

Inspired

I'm so glad that we were able to go to the Briar Patch Marketplace yesterday. I was able to talk to the lady in charge and she's going to add me to her vendor list so that I can have a booth in the Fall! I'm so excited! There were only a couple people who had paper crafts, so I'm really excited to be part of it. I have some many ideas and can't wait to get crafting!

I came across this card template from Dawn, she calls it the Paper Frame Card. I absolutely love it. It's simple and but it comes out SO pretty and you can do so much with it. I've already made a couple, but I was able to each one special in their own way :)

This one was for my co-worker on her last day. She's a great friend and I hope that we can keep in touch :)

This one is for my cousin's birthday :) I'm so super excited for her, this year will be filled with all the fun and excitement of planning her wedding!!! love you!! :)

Briar Patch Marketplace

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Things have been SO busy!  Here are some updates:

I'm totally LOVING my Stampin' Up! stuff :) I really love how all the paper, ink, and ribbon all coordinate :) I'm going to my first demonstrators meeting in a couple weeks so I'm trying to figure out what card I'm going to make for everyone. I got the Big Shot and I love it! :)

I'm going to check out Briar Patch Marketplace today. This will be my first Arts and Crafts fair. One of my coworkers told me about it and I'm so excited! I spoke with one of the people in charge there and she's bringing a contract for me to look over. Hopefully this will bring me closer to achieving my goal of being able to sell my projects! :)

I've made some cards lately, but here's the one that's uploaded. It's for my coworker's birthday last week :) can you tell he likes Apple?

SO EXCITED!! :)

I have been waiting all week and I finally got it! My Stampin' Up starter kit arrived today and I can't wait to play with all the new supplies I got. I was so excited that I took pictures of all the stuff. I even put all my new stamps together and labeled all of the stamps, ink pads, and all the other tools I got too :) ... if you would like to place a Stampin' Up order and receive the preferred pricing, please let me know so that I can get that for you :)

I'll post up the pictures another time (I haven't uploaded them yet).

Oh another note, here is a birthday card that I put together for my co-worker, Sarah :) For a short period of time we shared an office, and for a short period of time she was even my "boss" lol. I hope you had a wonderful birthday Sarah, you deserve it! :)

I used tweezers to try and hold the cad shut so that you would be able to see the contrast :)
 Have a good night everyone!

Happy Crafting :)

Stampin' Up Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone!

I'm finally posting the cards that I made at the first workshop I ever went to! Yes, it was a Stampin' Up workshop :) It was a Make and Take workshop so you make two cards of each, the theme this time was Birthday Cards. Don't be surprised if some people will actually get these lol. Here you go!

The samples were much prettier, but I couldn't follow directions! I'm still happy with the way they turned out. Also, just like I mentioned in my previous post, I've become a Stampin' Up demonstrator, so please contact me if you would like to order anything! They have so much stuff and you'll definitely have so much fun with them all. www.stampinup.com in order to get the preferred pricing you MUST order through a demonstrator, and I would love help you out! :)

Stampin' Up!

I know I said I would post pictures from the workshop I went to a couple weeks ago, but it's late and I just wanted to give a little update.

I went to another workshop tonight and I officially became a Stampin' Up Demonstrator! I'm so excited and can't wait for this new and exciting time. If anyone needs any craft supplies or anything from Stampin' Up please let me know and I'll put in the order for you with the preferred pricing :)

Happy Crafting Everyone! :)

My Pink Stamper Challenge

My Pink Stamper is on a the Cricut cruise right now but she still posted a challenge :) Here it is...

Challenge:  Any project using a feathered friend.  LOL!!

I decided to post an owl I made before. I'm not sure it's supposed to be a project made just for this challenge so I thought I would submit a card I made a while ago for Rocio. She used to volunteer where I work and we shared an office :) I made this for her birthday.

I think this was the first round card I made. It was a little challenging, but still fun :)

Enjoy! :)

The Big Apple

HAPPY NATIONAL CRAFT MONTH! :) I hope everyone has at least one craft project this month :)

I was supposed to post this over an hour ago but I lost track of time. These two cards were for my sister's co-workers who leaving. I thought of the Good Luck one while she came up with the design for the Big Apple one.

This one was SO simple, but I really like the design. I just used some clear stamps that I bought at Micheal's then punched it out using a scalloped square :)
I'm so excited that my sister designed this one. I got the sky line from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, and I don't remember where I got the apple from.

On to other news, I posted a comment on My Pink Stamper and I got an email from someone named Grace. However, it went to my spam folder and as I was clicking "Delete Forever" I noticed that it wasn't actually spam and that I should probably read it... but it was TOO LATE! I was so upset that I deleted it, I even looked it up to see if it could be recovered, no luck :( So, if the person that emailed me from my comment on My Pink Stamper is reading this, please email me again.

For my next post I'll show you all the cards I made at the workshop I went to last week. I have a new love for Stampin' Up products :) I can't wait to attend more workshops!

Oh and CONGRATULATIONS to the new parents to a beautiful baby boy, Reanne and Aaron!!

Have a great night everyone!

Get Well Soon!

I can't believe that it's already the last day of February! This morning I was SUPER excited to find out the March is National Craft month! :)

I made this card a while ago for my cousin Lani. I know, it doesn't really scream "get well soon" but I decided to put a horse on it because the last time she visited we went horseback riding, and until she gets better we can't go horseback riding. So I was hoping it would serve as an inspiration for her to get better so that she can come visit and we can go on the longer horseback riding trail :)

It's going to be a VERY busy month but I'm really excited about National Craft month. Feel free to leave a comment and share how you'll celebrate National Craft month :)

TV Buddy!

This post is LONG overdue! I made this card for one of my former co-workers. We didn't work together for a long time but thanks to a "Speed Meeting" activity, we found out that we both watch the same shows!! :) We a few of us would all recap episodes and try to figure out what was going to happen next. lol So when I heard that she was offered an amazing opportunity it was bittersweet, I'm happy and proud of her, but sad she isn't down the hall to talk to. Nicole, this one is for you! I miss you!
I used Create a Critter for the puppy and bone and the polka dot Cuttle Bug folder for the blue background. I was excited when she said that it was just like her dog! :)

Birthdays!

Finally, a new blog post! My SD card reader was acting up and I wasn't able to upload any new pictures until today (thanks Matt!). Anyway, there have been a few birthdays since the last time I posted, here are the cards that I made for the celebrants.

This card is for Chari. I had a really hard time with this card because all I knew was that it had to be a cupcake and have yellow and orange on it. I used a cupcake from the Sweet Treats cartridge and of course I had to add some "bling" (stickles) on it! :)

This birthday card was for Alondra, Matt's niece, she turned 1 in January :) I used Create a Critter for the bear. If you don't have Create a Critter yet, you need to go get it. There are so many images for different occasions and it's super easy to layer! :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!! :) This card took a while for me to make because I wanted the roses to pop out a little more so I brushed the edges with and ink pad and also tried to curl the edges of each of the roses.

So, I'm not sure if she even got this card yet, but I'm going to post it anyway! lol Happy Birthday Joanne! I tried to make a macaroon but it ended up looking like a burger! So, I ended up making another cupcake :)
I'll try and do another post in the next couple days. I'm excited to go to my first workshop with a Stampin' Up demonstrator on Monday! :) We're going to be making some cards so hopefully I can get a couple posted on here.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sign up to launch the era of Alzheimer’s disease prevention research

Hey Bloggers, I just wanted to share this with you. Hopefully you'll sign up and join our efforts to end Alzheimer's Disease!

Alzheimer’s disease is an unacceptable problem. We need to find effective ways to reduce the risk of developing symptoms, or maybe even prevent it, as quickly as possible.

The Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative (API), which is lead by Banner Alzheimer’s Institute, is intended to help do just that.  We believe that the greatest roadblocks to eradicating Alzheimer’s are the current scientific methods, funding mechanisms, and public policies needed to evaluate promising prevention therapies as quickly as possible.

I am asking for you to help support the API by:
  • Clicking here  to sign up for the API electronic mailing list (or visiting www.ADprevention.org), and entering my last name in the “Referral Code” box*.
  • Forwarding this message along to everyone in your email address book, ask your friends and family to forward it along, post it on Facebook, and tweet about it!

By signing up for the mailing list you will:
  • Receive timely information about the project
  • Be among the first to hear about opportunities to participate in innovative clinical studies and research programs.

Your information will not be shared with anyone and you can unsubscribe at anytime.

We need your help in reaching others who share our mission of ending Alzheimer’s disease without losing another generation!
Thank you for your help and support.

Sincerely,
Regal :)

*My co-workers and I are having a friendly contest to see who can get the most people on the mailing list, help me win! Please pass this on, it would be wonderful to get as many people as possible to join our efforts!

Good Luck!

I've been wanting to make a new post for a while, but my SD card reader isn't working. So until then, I can't post any pictures of new projects. So as I've been crafting and wedding planning, I've also been watching all the updates from Cricut and Provo Craft at CHA and I can't wait for all the new stuff to come out!! If anyone is looking to buy a Cricut Expression, there will probably be big sales soon since they're releasing a NEW one!! :)

Anyway, here is a little project that I made for a previous co-worker of mine. I'm excited that she's starting a new adventure, but also sad that she won't be at work with us anymore :( I loved talking to her about all our shows!!

I got the idea from a video that Custom Crops and My Pink Stamper did together. Here's the link to their video Click Here. Instead of hot cocoa, I put Starbucks Via in it instead. Nicole loves her coffee!  :) Good luck Nicole! I'll post the card whenever I upload my pictures.

When you pull the ribbon, the coffee will slide out! :)

I'm also open to DIY wedding ideas, so if anyone has any, please leave a comment :)

Goodnight! :)

Busy, busy, busy...

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, these last few days have been busy, busy, busy! I haven't been able to do as much crafting, but it's ok :) However,  I was able to make a few more key chains, but I forgot to take pictures of them. I'll try and get pictures of the ones I gave to my mom and my sister so that I can post them. Even if you don't have a Cricut, they're really easy to make. All you have to do is cut out a shape multiple times, then glue them together so that they make a stack. Then get some Mod Podge and apply a thin layer on each side and let it dry (make sure you get the edges). I usually apply a couple coats. One more thing, don't forget to punch the hole before applying the Mod Podge.

I couldn't end this post without a picture. So, here is a project I made last year for my friend Lenn. I used the Gypsy to cut out each page of this book. It's a great way to recycle old soda, cake mix, and cereal boxes.  I actually got the idea from Momo from Made by Momo. Here is her video for her Birthday Wordbook:) I thought it was SO cool and I just HAD to make one. I filled this book with pictures from Lenn's first trip to Arizona. It was a little difficult for me to fit all the pictures in the book, so I think I'll make the next book a little larger.

Have a good night everyone! :) Please feel free to leave a comment or become a follower of my blog :)

Surprises :)

Good Evening Everyone!

This weekend is one for the books. I found some really great deals for some Cuttlebug folders, Cricut cartridges, and a bunch of other craft supplies. I FINALLY got to watch Tangled with my mom, it's now one of my favorite Disney movies :) Ok, ok, I'll cut to the chase, I GOT ENGAGED on Saturday!!! :) It just so happens that there was a Bridal expo this weekend so we went and got a LOT of information. I think a lot of my "craft time" will be taken over with planning. I'm sure there will be a project now and then, I <3 crafting :)

Here is a little project that I made for someone special. She doesn't know that it's for her yet, so I'm not going to post her name :) Thanks to Christina from Card Creations & More by C for her idea that she submitted for the MPS Design Team. This keychain was SO easy to make, I love it!! Sorry the quality of the picture isn't too great, I took the picture with my phone. Oh, it's also covered in Mod Podge so that it'll be a little more durable. :)

Sharing is Caring

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

A lot of friends and family have told me that I should make cards and other items so I can sell them, I really want too, but I have a couple problems.
  1.  I don't have enough time to make a whole stock of things to sell
  2.  Every time I make something give it away right away!
I guess for now I'll just have to take orders or something. I made a bunch of cards over the last couple weeks, here are some of them that I wanted to share. Enjoy!!
I love this monkey from Sugar and Spice. I embossed the background using the Swiss Dots folder and the ribbon is from Martha Stewart :)

I got the dolphin from Life's a Beach, I didn't have two shades of gray so to make one a little darker, I brushed my watermark ink pad over some of it. I used the same ink pad to stamp on the swirls in the background. I got the candy machine from the Sweethearts cartridge and embellished the card with some shimmery paper and buttons.

For the monkey I used the the Sweethearts cartridge and for the turtle I used the Life's a Beach cartridge. I didn't like that you couldn't really see the eyes and ears on the monkey so I outlined it with a white gel pen. I also didn't like that the turtle shell was so plain so I added some stickles to it.

I didn't have anything "golf" so I just used a circle from the Sweet Treats cartridge and used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and turned over the image. I also used a cupcake topper from the Cricut Lite Cupcake Wrappers cartridge. I got the giraffe from the Sugar and Spice cartridge and embellished the card a little with some buttons, ribbon, and stickles.

Feel free to leave a comment a become a follower! I appreciate it! :)

Have a good night!

Taking a Chance

After much thought, I finally decided to enter something in for the My Pink Stamper Design Team 2011 - Challenge & Submission. If anyone else is interested the requirements are listed on her page. Click Here

Here is the recipe for the simple card I made:
  • The "Love1" image from the Cricut Lite Cartridge - Sugar and Spice
    • Image was cut at 4 inches. I also welded 2 of the large squares together on my gypsy to make the base of the card
  • Pink, light pink, brown, and green Recollections Cardstock (from Micheal's)
  • Small yellow brads (also from Micheal's, I don't remember the brand though)
  • A white gel pen to do some "stitching" and dots on the letters

It's a super simple card, but was lots of fun to make. Enjoy!! :)

New Year, New Adventures

Hi Everyone!

I've been thinking about creating a blog for awhile now, and I've finally decided to make one! It's a new year, so I thought it could use some new adventures. I've recently rediscovered my love for crafting. It reminds me of when I was a kid and would make little projects at school and show them to my parents and family and they'd be so excited with my creation. I realized that I still get the same joy from crafting as I did back then. I LOVE trying new ideas, sharing them with family and friends, and seeing the joy in their faces. This blog will primarily be to share projects that I've seen and wanted to try out. I hope you all enjoy this new adventure with me! :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
